Refuelling and Cleaning
Do I have to pay for petrol?
You get thirty miles free petrol per calendar day. eg. If you have a booking from
2pm Wednesday to 2pm Thursday you get 30 miles free for Wednesday and 30 miles free
for Thursday, so 60 miles free in total. After the free miles have been used, we
charge 23 pence per mile.
Each car comes with its own fuel card, so you don't have to pay when you fill up
- the bill comes straight back to Streetcar.
At the end of each journey, we just ask that you leave the car with at least a quarter
tank of fuel.
How do I refuel the car?
Use the fuel card from the dashboard, accepted at 99% of petrol stations across
the UK.
What if I can't find a petrol station that accepts the fuel card?
Pay for it yourself and send, fax or email us the receipt. We'll credit your account accordingly.
Do I have to pay to clean the car?
We'll pay for ordinary car cleaning up to £7.50. You can use your fuel card for
this service at any petrol station. We will also compensate you with 1 hour's free
driving for your trouble (maximum of 2 cleans per month)
What if I get the inside of the car dirty?
Use the petrol card to buy vacuum tokens at the petrol station. If it's bad, you'll
be expected to pay any cleaning costs. We also ask that you inform us if the mess
is likely to inconvenience the next user so we can provide an alternative vehicle.
What happens if I leave the car dirty?
If you leave the car in a state inappropriate for the next user, a £25 penalty will
be added to your bill.
What if the car is dirty when I pick it up?
We send out a team of people to valet the cars regularly. However, if it is dirty,
please inform us immediately so that we can remind the last driver about our cleanliness
policy, and get our car valet service out to put it right.

Damage to the cars
What if the car is damaged during the booking?
You must let us know immediately. You can call us from the in-car phone, or on 0845
644 8475.
Will I have to pay for damage?
The cars are covered by fully comprehensive insurance. However, you are responsible
for the "excess" on the insurance, the first part of the cost. This is
either £750, £500 or £0 depending on your driving record and
whether you purchase the option to reduce it. We will discuss this with you when
you join.
What if I notice damage when I pick the car up?
Check the Damage Log in the User's Manual to make sure it has been noted. If it
hasn't, please call us immediately using the car's in car phone - BEFORE you drive
away. We hold you responsible for the state of the car at the end of your booking,
minus anything you told us about at the beginning.
