Project managers
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £27k - £45k per year + benefits.
Location: Wimbledon, London
Streetcar www.streetcar.co.uk operates
the UK's leading pay-as-you-go car service. The service offers smartcard access
to a large network of vehicles via an online booking system. We currently provide
over 70,000 members access to over 1,300 cars and vans in London and 6 other UK
cities.
Streetcar is by far the largest business of its kind in the UK and the fastest growing
in the world, averaging 100%+ growth for each of the past 5 years.
Core to these achievements is a vibrant team of people who develop and grow with
the business and are totally dedicated to its success. Upon joining Streetcar, you
will join one part of the business and be responsible for generating change and
growth by delivering new projects with support from the rest of the team. You will
be responsible for the timeline and budget of the project and measured and rewarded
on the outcome of it. You will be expected to make contributions to higher-level
strategy and about 20% of your time will be spent on core, non-project work.
Any of the following skills would be an asset:
- Analytical : excellent numeracy, problem solving, financial modelling, statistical
analysis
- Managerial : exceptional communication and people management skills
- Creative : brilliance in creative thinking, in either strategy or design
Experience of project handling and delivery, along with examples of having applied
some of the above are critical, but they needn't be sector-specific. We'd also expect
between a proven record of making substantial contributions within your working
life. Above all it's critical that you're bright, motivated, commercially astute
and ready to find new answers to new problems. If you think you're who we're looking
for, send us your CV along with a short cover letter explaining why you would like
to work at Streetcar to recruitment@streetcar.co.uk.

Member services team £18k – £20K
Do you want a unique opportunity to excel in a fast-growing and dynamic company?
Streetcar, the Pay-as-you-go car club, is rapidly expanding and needs motivated,
hard-working individuals to assist our member services team. We are not a Multinational
juggernaut chugging along at 2% growth a year offering you a job done by hundreds
before you. Instead, Streetcar is pioneering the concept of car clubs across the
UK and has doubled in size every six months for the last three years. Indeed, we
have even more ambitious growth plans for the coming 12 months which will provide
much scope for talented individuals who can deliver.
The Role:
Working within our member services team, you will initially be taking bookings from
members, dealing with their queries and providing excellent service on a range of
issues. We loathe the concept of Call Centres and deliberately staff our Member
services team with high calibre individuals who we empower to deal with issues rather
than just logging them for escalation to another team. We treat our member services
team as the entry point into the company and deliberately recruit people capable
of taking on further roles within the business.
As a company which will double in size in the next 12 months alone there are fantastic
opportunities for people who want to progress and move into other roles within Streetcar.
Most importantly, because nobody has done what we are doing on the scale that we
are in the UK there are no established industry practices and so we are in unique
position of having a blank canvass. This means that while many companies will talk
about dynamic opportunities and progression few, if any, will actually offer the
level of opportunity that Streetcar can.
This role would suit anyone who, like us, wants to avoid the stuffy corporate culture
and instead work for a fun, dynamic and interesting company where responsibility
comes as standard. If you are happy to be judged on what you can deliver and work
in a fast-paced environment where hard work will move you on faster than in any
other company then apply today.
SALARY: £18k – £20k depending on experience.
Must Have:
- Outgoing, friendly personality
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong in Microsoft Office based programs
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- High level of personal drive and sound judgment
- Outstanding communication and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Reasonable travel time to our Head Office in Wimbledon
How to apply
Please send through your CV with cover letter to
recruitment@streetcar.co.uk including reference MS 2009.
Your letter should explain what you think the challenges are facing a car-club operator,
why you're the right person to contribute to our team and what your three key
principles of excellent customer service are.

None of these appeal to you? Think you have something else to offer us? Streetcar
always wants to hear from those passionate about helping us grow this new and exciting
industry.
To apply, please email your CV and covering letter to our recruitment team (recruitment@streetcar.co.uk),
explaining how you think you can help Streetcar.
Strictly no agency applications please.
