Streetcar
Jobs:
Junior Creative / Production Assistant
Deadline: 7th August 2008
Do you want a unique opportunity to excel in a fast-growing and dynamic company?
Streetcar (www.streetcar.co.uk) is the UK's largest car club, an up-and-coming brand and an amazing success story. We have tripled in size in each of the last three years, and 2008 is shaping up to be another year of spectacular growth.
Our service provides self-service pay-as-you-go cars in over 700 locations in six UK cities, catering to over 35,000 members. Half of our new members come from word of mouth recommendations ? a measure of both the quality of the service we offer and the affinity our members feel for the brand we have created.
A role has emerged within our growing Marketing and Creative team for a Junior Creative / Production Assistant. The individual taking this role will work alongside our Head of Creative in fulfilling a diverse range of creative work across print, outdoor, packaging and web. As well as participating in the design process, making edits and preparing work for print, you will responsible for managing fulfilment timelines and negotiating print deadlines with our print agency. As such you will have exceptional time management skills, and be confident in juggling many different projects at once.
While we don't require a formal training in design, we would expect up to 3 years of design experience. You?ll also need to be highly competent in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator on a Mac platform and be able to produce work ready for the web. Above all we?re looking for someone who?s highly organised, commercially orientated and a good team-player.

Exciting Opportunities for ambitious people: £18k – £20K
Do you want a unique opportunity to excel in a fast-growing and dynamic company?
Streetcar, the Pay-as-you-go car club, is rapidly expanding and needs motivated, hard-working individuals to assist our member services team. We are not a Multinational juggernaut chugging along at 2% growth a year offering you a job done by hundreds before you. Instead, Streetcar is pioneering the concept of car clubs across the UK and has doubled in size every six months for the last three years. Indeed, we have even more ambitious growth plans for the coming 12 months which will provide much scope for talented individuals who can deliver.
The Role:
Working within our member services team, you will initially be taking bookings from members, dealing with their queries and providing excellent service on a range of issues. We loathe the concept of Call Centres and deliberately staff our Member services team with high calibre individuals who we empower to deal with issues rather than just logging them for escalation to another team. We treat our member services team as the entry point into the company and deliberately recruit people capable of taking on further roles within the business.
As a company which will double in size in the next 12 months alone there are fantastic opportunities for people who want to progress and move into other roles within Streetcar. Most importantly, because nobody has done what we are doing on the scale that we are in the UK there are no established industry practices and so we are in unique position of having a blank canvass. This means that while many companies will talk about dynamic opportunities and progression few, if any, will actually offer the level of opportunity that Streetcar can.
This role would suit anyone who, like us, wants to avoid the stuffy corporate culture and instead work for a fun, dynamic and interesting company where responsibility comes as standard. If you are happy to be judged on what you can deliver and work in a fast-paced environment where hard work will move you on faster than in any other company then apply today.
SALARY: £18k – £20k depending on experience.
